As many of you know, I’ve hidden more twenties on Boylston St. than anywhere else. Under cones, behind signs, in Walgreens, New Balance, ATM’s, The Four Seasons, tons in Whiskey’s, The Lenox Hotel, CVS, Solas, New Balance, in the T, statutes, outside the Old South Church… And in 2011 I saw my dear friend James for the last time outside the Tedeschi’s, which sits right between where the sites of the two explosions. He suffered a tragic accident later that night. James helped to inspire Plenty of Twenties.
We, the Twenties community, are not surprised at how Boston is responding to the act of evil. I’ve relayed so many “pay it forward” examples since we started this thing. So many finders who arrived at a 20 at the same time decided to share it. I’ve never heard a story about an argument or fight. Not one. Some have spent the 20 on a local business or charity, and others have turned right around and sponsored it on the site.
On a more personal note…
